Accounts Assistant

Our fast-growing Accountancy Practice is currently looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant who will be responsible for regular Book-Keeping, VAT and Payroll processing.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Completing VAT Returns and general Bookkeeping.
  • Assisting in preparation of Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
  • Processing Payroll.
  • Ensuring all RTI, EPS and Pension submission are completed on time.
  • Monitoring Payroll/VAT deadlines.
  • Submission of monthly CIS Returns.
  • General office duties.
  • Answering telephone calls, dealing with enquiries and responding to queries in a timely manner.
  • Establishing and maintaining a professional and friendly working relationship with clients.

Although not essential as training will be given it would be desirable for the candidate to be familiar with software products including Sage, Quickbooks, Xero and Brightpay.

It is expected that the position will be Full Time although a Part Time applicant would be considered for the right candidate. Salary negotiable.

Payroll Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the entire Payroll process from start to finish, including RTI submissions, pension uploads and generating reports.
  • Ensuring all RTI, EPS and Pension submission are completed on time
  • Assisting clients to comply with their Auto Enrolment duties
  • Maintain meticulous payroll records
  • Prepare monthly/weekly journals and reports
  • Submission of monthly CIS Returns
  • Monitoring minimum wage and holiday pay
  • Processing AOE’s, DEA’s and Priority Orders
  • Running required forms (P45s / P60s etc)
  • Stay up to date with HMRC legislation and Pension Auto Enrolment
  • Responding to queries received in a timely and supportive manner
  • General office duties

Although not essential as training will be given it would be desirable for the candidate to be familiar with software products including Sage, Quickbooks, Xero and Brightpay.

Experience:

  • Payroll: 2 years (required)
